The Elias Table

a Union of Separate Pieces

wka+d was commissioned to design and fabricate this furniture piece as a wedding present. The design of the console table emphasized the joining of separate pieces into a unified whole. This is emphasized on the table top, where we intentionally left a gap between the two main boards which are in-turn held together with the inlayed straps. American cherry was selected as the wood and the piece was fabricated in our shop.
